Jewels of Sacred Art from Ibiza and Formentera

Housed in what was once the old sacristy, the chapter house, the sacristans’ quarters and other rooms of Ibiza Cathedral, its permanent collection displays around a hundred paintings, sculptures and pieces of gold and silverwork relating to the liturgy and history of the Pitiusan Church, from the 13th to the 20th century. When visiting the museum, we recommend you pay particular attention to the display of traditional rosaries and prayer beads, as well as the Gothic monstrance from Ibiza Cathedral, considered the oldest standing monstrance in Spain.
