Retreats - once in a lifetime, twice a year

From 3-10 September, Six Senses Ibiza presents Grow a New Body, a seven-day retreat led by renowned doctors Alberto Villoldo and Mark Hayman.

A psychologist and medical anthropologist, Alberto Villoldo has studied the healing practices of the Amazon and Inca shamans for over twenty-five years. At San Francisco State University he founded the Biological Self-Regulation Laboratory to study how the mind creates both health and psychosomatic illness. Founder of the Four Winds Society, where he teaches the practice of energy medicine and soul retrieval, and the Light Body School, he leads annual expeditions to the Amazon and the Andes to work with the wise masters of the Americas. Dr Mark Hayman is a nutrition expert, author of bestsellers on food such as Food Fix and one of the most eminent voices in functional medicine in the United States, where he chairs the Strategy and Innovation department of the Cleveland Clinic Center for Functional Medicine.

Grow a New Body is a cutting-edge programme aimed at cell regeneration through food. Unlike other programmes, it does not only pursue physical and/or mental wellbeing, but addresses less visible areas such as sacred energy and reconnection through detoxification strategies and the power of plant-based foods, activators of the molecules of happiness.

From October 6-10, Six Senses Ibiza presents Journey to Profound Transformation by award-winning British therapist Marisa Peer.

Internationally regarded as one of the UK's most reputable therapists, 'Best Therapist in the UK' according to Men's Health magazine, Marisa Peer has been helping people make profound changes in their lives for over three decades, including elite athletes and Hollywood stars. She is the creator of Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT®), a mind optimisation therapy based on the principles of hypnotherapy, psychotherapy, neuro-linguistic programming, cognitive behavioural therapy, neuroscience and neuroplasticity that produces rapid, effective and lasting change in people.

In this five-day retreat of deep transformation and healing, Marisa Peer will offer the keys to unlocking individual potential, restoring balance, gaining clarity and propelling you towards success in all aspects of life, without having to compromise, according to her approach, on anything at all, "To improve the immune system and be a positive person, it all starts with how we think and how we talk to ourselves. A positive person understands that thoughts control feelings, feelings control our actions and our actions control our life," he explains.

Immersions - Spirituality, transformation

From the 20th to the 26th of October, Six Senses Ibiza will open the Signature Immersions calendar with two retreats, with a holistic detox and yoga focus. Six Senses Ibiza Signature Immersions are enriching, spiritual, immersive and profound experiences; comfort zone-expanding retreats curated by world-leading practitioners, designed to help you learn more, love more and be more.

The first YogaFlow Signature Immersion at Six Senses Ibiza will be led by James De Maria, whose philosophy takes a big picture perspective and integrates yoga with elements of dance, release techniques and group work. After a decade of dance as a dancer and choreographer for performances at The Royal Opera House and The English National Opera, he has been teaching yoga since 1999, focusing on the importance of breathing (Pranayama) and gentleness, minimising tension in the body to create freedom of movement and gentle but profound transformation.

This seven-day retreat aims to create a space that nourishes the heart to break out of the cycle of daily routines and reconnect with what makes us feel alive. A week of yoga, dance and celebration, sprinkled with a healthy dose of Ibizan magic, to step away from screens and renew life perspectives by reconnecting with oneself and others. As physical strength improves, blood circulation increases and the nervous system ignites its healing response, vital energy (Prana) can flow unobstructed and we naturally find ourselves open to change.

With a holistic detox approach, BodyFlow Signature Immersion is designed to restore a sense of lightness, curiosity and love of life. Led by Shlomo Dharma, this seven-day retreat at Six Senses Ibiza invites you to celebrate a new beginning powered by the special energy of the island by this renowned detox and body cleansing healer with more than 25 years of experience in transformational processes. His Method of Multidimensional Technique (MDT) combines modern and ancient methods such as fasting, dance, yoga, breathing and various forms of meditation.

Detoxification does not mean deprivation. It means filling our days with everything that nourishes us, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually. This programme will facilitate the activation of innate healing mechanisms while getting rid of worries by dancing to celebrate the detox with a large dose of joy by allowing the body to release and cultivating awareness of our inner energy.

Transformation occurs when openness, awareness, time, people, place and the experience itself come together in perfect harmony to enable it. Six Senses Ibiza opens as a space of harmony, with the highest standards of comfort, to help achieve it.
