Es Niu Blau

Es Niu Blau or s’Estanyol is located at 2 km away from Santa Eulalia, between sa Caleta-Punta de sa Caleta and Cala Pada. About 1 km from the Es Canar road you can reach the beach by taking a path that leads off to the right. This U-shaped sea inlet has small size and on the right of its slope is the mouth of Torrent d’Arabí. The mouth of this torrent explains the fact that in the shore there are fine-grained sand and pebbles, as well as a gentle slope (at 40 metres from the coastline there is only two metres of depth). A thick pine forest and other coniferous species populate its back side. The water of es Niu Blau is clear and allows us to see the sandy seabed filled of algae. Except in the area between s’Estanyol and the reef of Cala Pada it is recommended to dive. Road access is simple following the signs and detours. The private vehicle can be parked free of charge in the surroundings. It can also be reached using public transport, whose nearest bus stop is located at just 300 metres away.
