Ses Salinas

Migjorn or Platja de ses Salines, is located at 11 km from the city of Eivissa, between Punta de la Roma and Punta de sa Torre. Road access is simple following the signs and detours. The path to this big beach is stunning, crossing piles of salt and different reservoirs of standing water with greenish and bluish tones provided by the saltpetre. The car can be parked free of charge at points more distant from the beach or paying at a few metres away. It can also be accessed by bike (there is a cycling lane) or by bus, which bus stop is less than 1 km away. This beach belongs to the Natural Area of Special Interest of Ses Salines (400 hectares), of great ornithological and landscape value (pines and savins set the dune system of the back).
It is undoubtedly the most fashionable and glamorous beach of the island. The wide variety of restaurants, music, young people and advertising performances of the different clubs parties, provide it with this high index of popularity among the tourists. The marine and underwater conditions are suitable for anchoring boats during good weather periods, as you can see once you look at the horizon. The navigator should be extremely careful when approaching the coastline since there are some submerged rocks. The best place to anchor is just on the north of the beach, over a ground of sand with a depth of about five metres.
If you want to enjoy good music, collect information about the club parties of the island or just drink a mojito on the beach in the company of young people, this is your place, so get ready to pay for it.
