Sant Mateu d’Albarca Church

This church, which dominates the small rural town of Sant Mateu, goes back to the 18th  century and was erected to attend to the needs of the parishioners in that area of the island.

This church has a single nave with a semi-circular vault with eight chapels and whose main façade is topped with a simple bell wall. To access the building you have to pass through the traditional porch which has three access arcades.

The parish festival is held on the September 21st, the feast of Saint Matthew.
